i met dan sandman through many brookes rock society nights. when meeting up with him one night in london he mentioned he was interested in recording a 4 track demo, i offered my services and he came down to my place in oxford one day in july of 2007 to record.
the 4 track demo never went anywhere. as soon as it was finished dan decided he had more songs he wanted to record, which turned out to be enough for a full album which he recorded in october of the same year.
this album became "in technicolour" which i played bass, keyboards and harmonica, as well as some programming of strings. it was fully recorded, mixed and mastered in my room, except for some recordings made with a portable recorded that give it some fitting background ambiance.
he got it printed in a nice full colour digipack format. it is available from his website www.dansandman.co.uk, and cdbaby as well as digitally from itunes and other distributors, also linked from there.
since then Dan has formed a band with Chris Waring on bass and banjo and Rich Austin on drums, which I still play with when possible. We are aiming on recording his second album together soon with more of a full band feel.
